A word on gun safety

Gun safety is of top priority for gun owners and handlers, especially when there are children. In my humble opinion, a home defense gun should not be chambered because, if God forbid, in a rush you leave it misplaced (it happened to me one time for many minutes, and I am well trained on gun safety) it reduces the risk of injury or death, if it is discovered by a child. Pulling a trigger on a pistol is very easy and if no ammunition is in the chamber, the pistol will not shoot. If it is a revolver, it is a different story since they are always ready to shoot. Weapons handling and storage training must be the first priority for every gun owner and guns must be handled and stored with extreme care because in the wrong little hands, they defeat their purpose.
