A word on gun safety
Gun safety is of top priority for gun owners and handlers, especially when there are children. In my humble opinion, a home defense gun should not be chambered because, if God forbid, in a rush you leave it misplaced (it happened to me one time for many minutes, and I am well trained on gun safety) it reduces the risk of injury or death, if it is discovered by a child. Why should I bring a first aid kit everywhere I go?
You don't have to be on a war zone to appreciate the importance of first aid in an emergency situation. If a soldier gets trained on the application of first aid to increase his survival chances on a hostile environment, why we don't do the same in today's violent and complicated world?
